New chair appointed
On October 1, 2021, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Philipp Weissgraeber was appointed as the new chair. The chair is now called "Chair of Lightweight Design". There is a new focus on research topics of modern lightweight design and materials with adaptive and active composite materials and components.
The group wishes the former chair Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Scharr all the best for his well-deserved retirement and looks forward to continuing the good cooperations.
